Bruce M. Belzowski Assistant Research Scientist bbl@umich.edu

Bruce M. Belzowski, Senior Research Associate in the Industry Structure Group, received his B.A. and M.A. from UC-Berkeley and U of M, respectively.  He worked for the U of M’s Institute for Social Research and then R.L. Polk, where he was responsible for developing models of new car purchases and aftermarket spending.  He joined OSAT as an Industry Structure Group Research Associate in 1994.

Mr. Belzowski has been a major contributor to most Industry Structure Group projects, especially in recent work on changes in the supplier and retail structure and relationships.  He also contributed to work on the information technology/e-commerce strategies and capabilities of systems integrators and dealerships.  He also made substantial methodological and editorial contributions to Delphi VIII and IX, and is a co-author of the Marketing volume of Delphi X.  He co-authored a Delphi forecast of Vehicle Modeling and Simulation.

A member of SAA, Mr. Belzowski’s automotive consulting work has included presentations to manufacturer, supplier, and dealer groups, work with a number of clients on Delphi methods and issues, and work with two major automotive consulting firms on supplier assessment on community automotive strategies.  He participates in GERPISA, a global group of automotive researchers anchored at the University d’Evry in France.
