Luis M. Guzmán, Research Fellow, received his B.S. from Monterey Institute of Technology and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from The University of Michigan. His dissertation focused on developing multivariate approaches for dimensional variation reduction during automotive body process validation. Prior to joining OSAT, Dr. Guzmán worked for the Chrysler Corporation as a Quality Engineer, and Duroplast, S.A., in Naucalpan, México where he served as both a Logistics Engineer in supply chain management and a Product Engineer for new programs. At OSAT, Dr. Guzman has been a lead investigator for several projects including a “slow build” door manufacturing study and a sheet metal tolerance analysis study.
