Maitreya Sims

As a Research Associate with the Industry Structure and Policy Group at OSAT, Ms. Sims has contributed substantially to OSAT projects examining knowledge management, business process integration, globalization, and fuel economy.
Before joining OSAT in 2001, Ms. Sims worked on the Surveys of Consumers at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research. The Surveys of Consumers generates the Index of Consumer Expectations, which is included in the Leading Indicator Composite Index published by the U. S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Ms. Sims has been published in the news media and spoken to industry and academic audiences. Her automotive consulting work has included identifying challenges foreign manufacturers face as they establish U.S. operations, selecting suppliers, and identifying customers for new products.
Ms. Sims graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida with a B.S. in psychology and has since pursued graduate studies in statistical analysis
